The 2004 Applications of Remote Sensing Technologies for Transportation Data Collection Workshop was hosted by the Florida Department of Transportation in Jacksonville, Florida at the Adams Mark Hotel on December 1 & 2, 2004. This was a great opportunity to hear about the technologies, techniques and issues associated with using remote sensing to gather information about the physical nature and use of the transportation system. The speakers presented leading research on the practical application of remote sensing technologies to gather information on transportation infrastructure. The workshop was sponsored by Oak Ridge National Labs and the U.S. Department of Transportation, Research and Special Programs Administration.
