Driving Directions

The UCSB campus is 10 minutes west of downtown Santa Barbara. We are located at 3625 Ellison Hall, grid cell D4 on the campus map, 34.4158°N 119.8451°W. Meetings are usually in

In Detail

From US-101 Northbound (From Santa Barbara/Los Angeles)

Exit to 217 South. Follow for 2 min. It ends at a roundabout, which is the east entrance to UCSB.
Turn right at the roundabout and follow Mesa Road along the northern periphery of campus.
Turn left at the second set of lights at the Mosher Alumni House (not in photo).
The best parking option is the multi-story parkade to your right, or Lot 16 just north of it. Park in a numbered spot and register at a parking kiosk (photo at right).
For short visits, there are parking meters in lots 12 and 14. Numbered spots in these lots are not available to visitors during school hours.

From Santa Barbara airport

UCSB is adjacent to the airport. This will be a very short drive.
Exiting the airport car rental lots, head south for just a minute on Fowler Drive, following signs for Santa Barbara. The mountains should be behind. Ahead, beach palms and an overpass.
Before reaching the overpass, turn left on the ramp around to 217 South.
Merge to 217 South. The east entrance to campus comes up in seconds. Follow directions 2 etc above.

From US-101 Southbound (from San Francisco)

Exit at Los Carneros, turn right (south), drive past Hollister.
Turn left on Mesa Road. In the photo above, you'll be approaching from the northwest.
Turn right at the 3rd light. See the parking options, direction 4 above.
